The Head of Project Management is a crucial position will be an individual contributor responsible for overseeing the planning, execution and successful delivery of key technical projects in India and Global. This role demands a highly skilled professional with a solid technical project management background who will work closely with the Managing Director and the Operations Team to drive project success. You will ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards, all while managing key stakeholders across the organization.

  • Business Division: Traditional (Decorative) + Future Technology (Printed Electronics)
  • Scope: 3 Traditional Facilities in India + 1 Printed Electronics + New Facilities
  • Working Day: 6 Days in a week (Alternate Saturdays Off)

Key Expectation:

  • Lead and Manage Technical Projects: Oversee the full lifecycle of technical projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring the projects are aligned with business objectives and delivered on time, within scope and on budget.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director: Work closely with the Managing Director to understand strategic business goals and ensure that projects align with company priorities. Provide project updates, insights and recommendations to the Managing Director for informed decision-making.
  • Close Coordination with Operations Team: Collaborate with the Operations Team to ensure effective planning, resource allocation and smooth implementation of technical projects, ensuring minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.
  • Develop Detailed Project Plans: Create comprehensive project plans that outline objectives, timelines, milestones, resource requirements and technical specifications.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies and ensure timely resolution to prevent project delays or disruptions.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Work across teams including engineering, operations and senior management to ensure successful collaboration and project execution.
  • Monitor Project Progress: Track project performance against timelines, budgets and quality standards and take corrective actions when necessary to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders. Provide regular project status reports and presentations to the Managing Director and other senior leadership as required.
  • Ensure Quality and Compliance: Ensure all technical deliverables meet company quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within project management practices and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including status reports, timelines and post-project reviews, ensuring the proper tracking of milestones and deliverables.

Additionally:

  • Experience working in a technology-focused company with a focus on hardware or other highly technical products.
  • Familiarity with operational workflows, supply chain management and deployment processes.
  • Ability to navigate challenges in hardware manufacturing, design, testing and integration.
  • Experience with Agile project management in technical environments, particularly hardware development.

Technical Skills & Qualification Expectations:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Project Management or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Strong experience in hardware/technical projects, including development, manufacturing and integration processes.
  • Extensive experience working closely with executive leadership, particularly Managing Directors, to align projects with strategic objectives.
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies and proficiency in project management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and work effectively with operations and technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking abilities to manage complex project challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong ability to manage stakeholder relationships and provide timely, transparent updates on project progress.
  • PMP or similar project management certifications are a plus.
