About The Role


We are seeking a talented Software QA and Test Engineer with a passion for robotics to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing automated tests, reporting bugs and supporting various stages of software development. This role requires a deep understanding of robotics systems, strong programming skills, experience in building automation pipelines and testing methodologies.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute tests and strategy for unit, integration, and system levels at different stages of software development.
  • Understand and review technical specifications, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Understand and support product requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with the Validation/Verification team, software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and adherence to quality standards.
  • Identify and report bugs, defects, and anomalies, and work closely with developers to resolve them, providing feedback and insights.
  • Develop testing frameworks, testing tools, API tests, integration tests, performance tests, stress tests, functional, and module level automation tests.
  • Provide and maintain software test cases and scenarios for software developers.
  • Integrate test automation frameworks into the pipeline to ensure consistent and reliable builds.
  • Participate in daily Scrum meetings and software reviews.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in QA and testing methodologies for robotics.




Requirements and Qualifications


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in QA automation, validation, verification, or quality assurance, preferably in robotics or a similar field.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++.
  • Experience with Jira, Git or Azure like tools.
  • Experience in different software testing methodologies.
  • Exposure to Software Development Life Cycle, Software Testing Life Cycle, and Bug Life Cycle.
  • Experience continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with robotics hardware and software architectures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with robotic software development tools (e.g., Gazebo, ROS).
  • Knowledge of robotics testing methodologies and best practices.\
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Robot Framework, etc.).
