Job Title: Freelance Researcher – Hybrid Quantum-Resilient Cryptographic Protocols Using Python

Job Type: Freelancing

Objective: Design and evaluate HQBChain, a high-fidelity hybrid cryptographic protocol that combines Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), Post-Quantum Cryptography (Kyber, Dilithium), and AES-GCM symmetric encryption to deliver secure, scalable, and quantum-resilient blockchain communication

Job Purpose:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and simulation of HQBChain for next-generation secure blockchain systems.
  • Develop Python-based modules for QKD-based key exchange, PQC authentication/signatures, and AES-GCM transaction encryption.
  • Build a simulation-driven environment incorporating quantum noise models (IBM Quantum), PQC benchmarks (NIST, liboqs), and blockchain transaction workloads (Hyperledger Fabric).
  • Publish research outcomes, including protocol architecture, benchmarking results, and security analysis, in high-impact journals.

Required Qualification:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cryptography, Applied Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or Quantum Information Science.
  • Strong background in post-quantum cryptography, QKD protocols (BB84, E91), and hybrid cryptographic systems.
  • Proficiency with Python and cryptographic libraries

Tools to be Familiar:

  • Programming: Python (mandatory); familiarity with C/C++ is a plus.
  • Simulation/Testing: Jupyter, IBM Quantum noise models.
  • Blockchain Frameworks: Hyperledger Fabric, Python-based blockchain simulators.

Required Experience

  • At least 2+ years of research or development in cryptography, protocol design, or blockchain security.
  • Hands-on experience with post-quantum algorithms (e.g., Kyber, Dilithium, Falcon, SPHINCS+) and QKD simulations.
  • Track record of publishing reproducible, peer-reviewed research with algorithmic and experimental rigor.

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Hybrid cryptography (QKD + PQC + symmetric crypto).
  • Simulation-driven security evaluation using realistic noise models and blockchain workloads.
  • Security metrics: key generation rates, QBER, transaction throughput, block validation latency.
  • Familiarity with quantum attack models (eavesdropping detection, side-channel threats, adversarial modeling).
  • Ability to benchmark and optimize algorithms for scalability in blockchain networks.

Job Description:

  • Develop, simulate, and validate HQBChain, a hybrid quantum-resilient protocol for blockchain.
  • Implement QKD key exchange, PQC signatures (Dilithium), and AES-GCM encryption in Python.
  • Run simulation experiments using IBM Quantum noise data, NIST PQC benchmarks, and Hyperledger Fabric workloads.
  • Benchmark HQBChain against RSA/ECDSA and PQC-only systems, measuring performance and resilience under quantum adversarial conditions.
  • Contribute to Scopus/SCI-indexed publications, prepare datasets, maintain reproducible code (Git), and respond to reviewer feedback.
  • Ensure academic integrity, originality, and transparency across all stages of the research cycle.
