We are looking for self-driven candidates for the role of 'Assistant General Manager - MEP Budgets', who will be responsible for estimation and budgeting function for Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Firefighting (MEP-F) systems across all the projects. The role involves developing accurate cost estimates, preparing detailed budgets, monitoring cost variances, and ensuring project financials are optimized.


Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation and Analysis

  • Responsible for detailed cost estimates for Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Firefighting works based on drawings, specifications, and site conditions.
  • Analyze tender documents, technical specifications, and project scope to define cost parameters.
  • Develop unit rates, material take-offs (MTOs), and labor cost evaluations.
  • Conduct market research to benchmark costs and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

2. Budget Preparation and Management

  • Develop comprehensive budgets for MEP-F works and ensure alignment with overall project budgets.
  • Present cost summaries and budget justifications to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Regularly update budgets based on design changes, market conditions, and project requirements.
  • Ensure cost control measures are implemented throughout project execution.

3. Vendor and Contractor Coordination

  • Work closely with procurement to obtain vendor quotations and negotiate rates for MEP-F systems.
  • Evaluate contractor bids for accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Assist in finalizing contracts for MEP-F work packages.

4. Risk Management

  • Identify cost-related risks in project planning and execution and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Develop contingency plans for unforeseen cost escalations.

5. Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and mentor the MEP - estimation and budgeting team to enhance their technical and analytical skills.
  • Foster collaboration between estimation, project management, design, and procurement teams.

6. Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare detailed cost reports and dashboards for management review.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, budgets, and cost variations.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve estimation and budgeting processes.

7. Compliance and Standards

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, local regulations, and company policies in all cost estimation and budgeting activities.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in MEP-F technologies and materials to enhance accuracy and efficiency.


Skill Requirement:

  • Candidate should be BE Electrical/Mechanical with 12+ years experience
  • Expertise in cost estimation tools and techniques
  • Strong knowledge of MEP-F systems and their integration in residential
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
