We design and develop robust, user-friendly IoT devices and platforms to empower sustainable practices and data-driven decisions in agriculture.We are looking for a passionate and skilled Hardware and Electronics Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. In this role, you will assist in designing, developing, and optimizing hardware components for our IoT devices, particularly for the BeePrecise system. You'll gain hands-on experience with real-world prototyping, testing, and hardware integration in a fast-paced startup environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in designing and developing electronic hardware for Ecosight's AgTech and IoT devices, including the BeePrecise system.Collaborate with software, firmware, and AI teams to support hardware-software integration and system optimization.Support the development and testing of PCB layouts, circuit designs, and schematics for robust embedded systems.Help evaluate and select electronic components and sensors (e.g., temperature, humidity, acoustic, weight) suitable for field deployment.Contribute to the design of power management solutions for battery-powered and remote IoT devices.Aid in debugging and troubleshooting hardware issues through the development lifecycle-from prototype to testing.Participate in prototype assembly, validation, and environmental testing.Support documentation efforts for design files, test procedures, and validation results.Required Skills and QualificationsEducation: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a closely related field.Experience: Previous internships or academic projects involving hardware design and embedded systems are preferred.Technical Skills:Basic knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, PCB schematics, and simulation.Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., KiCad, Altium Designer, Eagle).Exposure to microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, ESP32) and embedded platforms.Understanding of sensor interfacing and protocols like I2C, SPI, UART.Familiarity with power management concepts and low-power design principles.Ability to use basic lab equipment: multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.Exposure to firmware development (C/C++) and scripting in Python is a bonus.Preferred QualificationsExperience with environmental or agricultural sensors (e.g., humidity, temperature, acoustic, load cells).Interest in IoT, AI hardware integration, and edge computing challenges.Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (e.g., BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa, NB-IoT) is advantageous.Understanding of DFM, DFT, and regulatory compliance (CE, FCC, RoHS) is a plus.Familiarity with enclosure design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and IP-rated protection considerations is a bonus.Note: Exceptional interns may be offered a full-time role based on performance and business needs. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates looking to apply their academic learning in real-world product development.
