Payment testers with ISO20022/Swift knowledge.

Location(Preferred) - Pune and Bangalore

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payment Tester with specialized knowledge in ISO 20022 and SWIFT messaging standards to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our payment systems by designing, executing, and analyzing test cases related to payment processing, message validation, and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning & Design:
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements, specifically focusing on ISO 20022 and SWIFT message formats.
  • Analyze and interpret ISO 20022 message specifications and SWIFT standards to create accurate and effective test scenarios.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Test Execution & Analysis:
  • Execute manual and automated test cases, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Perform thorough testing of payment transactions, message validation, and data integrity related to ISO 20022 and SWIFT messages.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and provide detailed reports.
  • Verify defect fixes and ensure successful resolution.
  • ISO 20022 & SWIFT Expertise:
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of ISO 20022 message structures, elements, and validation rules.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of SWIFT messaging standards, including MT and MX message types.
  • Validate payment messages against ISO 20022 and SWIFT specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving ISO 20022 and SWIFT standards and industry best practices.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide clear and concise documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.
  • Automation (Preferred):
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for payment testing using relevant tools and frameworks.
  • Contribute to the development of test automation strategies and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum [Number] years of experience in software testing, with a focus on payment systems.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 20022 and SWIFT messaging standards.
  • Experience in testing payment transactions and message validation.
  • Proficiency in using test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with payment testing tools and simulators.
  • Knowledge of payment protocols (e.g., SEPA, Fedwire, CHAPS).
  • Experience with API testing.
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, SoapUI).
  • Any relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB).
