Title: Electrical Engineer - Senior profile

Electrical Engineer having 6 to 8 years’ experience in detailed engineering of power plants/ oil and gas / EPC projects. He or she would be reporting to Manager and responsible for detailed engineering / proposal preparation, Overall layouts, drawing preparation/checking, planning and timely completion of detailed engineering activities. He should have good communication and presentation skills.

 

Job Description

  1. Experience in Power System Design, Power system distribution and Aux Power Design for EPC project execution of power plants.
  2. Thorough knowledge of schematics preparation, single line diagrams, grounding, lightning protection and lighting design.
  3. Shall be able to perform the electrical system design calculations
  4. Experience in preparation of EPC project specifications, equipment specifications, bid reviews, and vendor drawing review.
  5. Experience in system studies, grounding design
  6. Responsible for developing electrical conceptual design for proposals and also during detail engineering
  7. Lead and develop clarifications / deviations in response to tender requirements, to respond to potential supplier’s technical queries, to help technical bid evaluation and technical evaluation report preparation.
  8. Prepare bill of quantity (BOQ) for all electrical systems and equipment’s in EPC project
  9. Strong knowledge of cost control, scheduling, engineering drawings and other documents.
  10. Preparation of material take offs and field estimates
  11. Shall have knowledge of relevant standards
  12. Candidates should preferably have experience of EPC projects in power/O&G / EPC companies

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for both proposal and detail engineering
  2. Work planning, scheduling & monitoring for electrical engineering discipline
  3. Responsible for the preparation of the standardization for documents
  4. Maintaining and monitoring engineering document list
  5. Responsible for the timely completion of the work assigned
  6. Man-hour planning and recording

 Skills

  1. Good in Planning, presentation and communication skill
  2. Should have through knowledge of IEC/IEEE/IS standards and other international code.
  3. Knowledge of software like E-plan, ETAP shall be preferred
  4. Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office software, MS project, Auto CAD
  5. Effective communication skill both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside company
  6. Strong problem solving skill, quick learner and good team spirit
  7. Knowing of Japanese language is extra advantage.
