  • Troubleshooting and Debugging: Investigate and resolve issues related to website functionality, performance, or security. Use debugging tools to identify root causes and fix issues quickly.
  • Version Control: Utilize Git for version control to manage codebase and track changes efficiently in a team environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, content creators, and project managers, to deliver high-quality WordPress websites on time.
  • Optimization and Maintenance: Regularly monitor and optimize the performance, security, and SEO of WordPress sites. Conduct updates and ensure compatibility with new WordPress releases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in WordPress development with a strong understanding of PHP.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
  • Familiarity with MySQL databases and how to interact with them using PHP.
  • Experience with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Familiarity with WordPress Ecosystem: Knowledge of WordPress functions, hooks, and filters. Understanding the WordPress dashboard, settings, and plugin architecture.
  • Front-End Development: Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and responsive web design principles.
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting: Ability to quickly identify and resolve coding and configuration issues.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with WordPress multisite setup and management.
  • Familiarity with WooCommerce for eCommerce development.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices for WordPress websites.
  • Experience with WP CLI (Command Line Interface) for advanced WordPress management.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
