Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. JD –Business Analyst

Job Role : Business Analyst

Location: Vemagal, Kolar Dist, Karnataka

Experience: 5+ years in the Profession.

Position : Engineer/Senior Engineer


Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred


Certifications:

Certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) or project management (e.g., PMP) are advantageous.


Description:

This role demands a candidate with a blend of IT expertise and business acumen to effectively bridge the gap between technology and business needs within the manufacturing domain. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to conduct workshops and articulate requirements effectively.

  • Proven experience in conducting workshops, interviews, and focus groups with stakeholders from various departments within manufacturing (production, supply chain, logistics, etc.) to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Expertise in creating comprehensive requirement documents, including functional specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and data models using tools like Visio, Jira, or other relevant software.
  • Demonstrated involvement in IT projects within manufacturing, such as ERP implementations, system upgrades, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience in collaborating with IT development teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements, facilitating smooth project execution.
  • Proficiency in analyzing complex data sets related to manufacturing processes, supply chain operations, inventory management, and cost optimization.
  • Ability to derive meaningful insights from data analysis, identifying areas for process improvement and operational efficiency enhancement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels, including C-suite executives, managers, technical teams, and end-users.
  • Experience in managing conflicting priorities and aligning diverse perspectives towards a unified goal.
  • Track record of leading successful workshops, brainstorming sessions, and requirement gathering meetings, fostering collaboration and consensus among stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Involvement in user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance processes, ensuring that implemented IT solutions meet business requirements and objectives.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, inventory management principles, and industry-specific challenges and trends.
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing environments and technologies within the manufacturing sector.


Responsibilities:

The IT Business Analyst for our manufacturing company will focus on gathering, analyzing, and articulating business requirements, particularly in the realm of IT solutions. This position plays a crucial role in aligning technology solutions with business needs, optimizing processes, and ensuring the successful implementation of IT projects.

  • Requirement Gathering: Conduct workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for IT projects, such as ERP implementation, system upgrades, or process enhancements.
  • Articulating Requirements: Translate business needs into clear and concise technical specifications and user stories for development teams, ensuring alignment between business objectives and IT solutions.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze existing IT systems, processes, and data flows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in the manufacturing domain.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT developers, engineers, and operational staff, to facilitate effective communication and understanding of requirements.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Lead workshops and brainstorming sessions to elicit requirements, facilitate discussions, and drive consensus among stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Create detailed documentation, including functional requirements, use cases, process flows, and test plans to support the development and implementation of IT solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure delivered IT solutions meet specified requirements and business objectives.
