Roles & Responsibilities:

Installation and Configuration:

  • Install and configure Windows Server operating systems.
  • Ensure all server infrastructure is set up for optimal performance and reliability.

Maintenance and Optimization:

  • Regularly maintain and optimize server infrastructure.
  • Proactively monitor and manage server resources to ensure system availability and uptime.

Troubleshooting and Resolution:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues promptly.
  • Provide second-level support, escalating issues to the next level when necessary to minimize impact.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce security measures in line with compliance standards.
  • Keep systems, including servers and client workstations, updated with the latest antivirus.

System Integration and Upgrades:

  • Collaborate with IT teams for seamless system integration and technology upgrades.
  • Monitor new patches and hotfixes from relevant application OEMs and implement them following proper change management procedures.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures thoroughly.
  • Perform analysis of incident/change/problem trends and prepare daily/weekly performance reports for submission to customers.
  • Ensure all deliverables are submitted to customers on a predefined schedule.

Training and Support:

  • Organize and conduct regular training sessions for the customer’s Level 1 support staff.
  • Act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for any scheduled or emergency maintenance activities impacting systems.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with network providers, ISPs, and other vendors to resolve issues impacting system performance.
  • Regularly meet with customers to gather feedback and implement corrective/preventive measures as needed.

Business Continuity and Redundancy:

  • Ensure business continuity infrastructure is proficiently maintained.
  • Perform regular failover activities to ensure system redundancy.

Patch Management and Restoration:

  • Perform Windows/Linux patch updates regularly as agreed upon with customers.
  • Conduct application/database restoration activities regularly to ensure data integrity and availability.

System Performance Monitoring:

  • Continuously monitor overall system performance and address any indicators that may impact system functionality.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent understanding of security measures and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in server resource management and system performance optimization.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with failover activities and business continuity planning.
  • Familiarity with patch management and application/database restoration processes.
  • Ability to coordinate with external vendors and manage client relationships effectively.
