JOB SUMMARY

The incumbent role will play a pivotal role in managing and sustaining the Input, in-process and Output Quality to deliver Quality, Cost and Delivery metrics of the organisation.Candidate's leadership will be crucial in terms of understanding the customer requirements, clearly translating them into supplier understandable inputs with a good knowledge of process controls and their output critical to Quality. This role requires a technical mindset, strong operational expertise, and effective supplier management skills to drive the success of our Purchasing and Supplier deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Final Product Quality:

  • Oversee and coordinate available of product inputs with the suppliers with the clear understanding of SC/CCs .
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure right input is available from Product Development team to meet the end customer requirements.
  • Have the good understanding of the metal refining process and its industrialization.
  • Identify and install the key equipment required at supply base to measure and evaluate the properties of the metal for the validation / fitness for use assessment.

Quality System establishment :

  • Establish Quality system at supplier end meeting the ISO 9000/IATF standards to have consistency in the process and product Quality.
  • Establish a system of having feedback from the customers for the CI projects that help to improve the FTT (towards 100%)

Change Management

  • Establish a robust system at supplier end to manage the changes happening in the product and process and they are traceable to standards established in the system for the input/output
  • Drive the system for Continuous Improvement and update the standards for the better process/ product Quality.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as sub supplier quality rejects, material shortages, machine break downs and develop strategies/ options to mitigate these risks.

PERSON PROFILE

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any Chemical Engineering
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in developing the metal from its ore in the industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in using tools for Supplier Performance Improvement matrix and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to optimize logistics and customs operations.
  • Benchmark supplier process with the best in class and identify the best-in-class manufacturing process and controls to improve Quality, Cost and Delivery

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with procurement, production, product development and other relevant departments to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth coordination and execution of Quality Improvement Initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Problem-solving orientation and a proactive approach to addressing supply chain challenges.
  • Project management skills to lead process improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence.

Key Performance Indicator:

  • On Time delivery of products from suppliers for a given program
  • Timely involvement of right functions for support to meet the program deadline
  • 100% compliance on Process Capability > 1.33 for the critical and significant characteristics
  • Turnaround of corrective action for plant QRs as defined in the Objective setting
