Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an Illustrator Intern at Wizdom. The Illustrator Intern will be responsible for creating digital illustrations, drawings, graphics, graphic design, and paintings for a variety of book and podcast summaries. Daily tasks include conceptualizing and producing illustrations that enhance the learning experience for Wizdom users.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with designers and content creators to develop engaging and visually appealing illustrations for various projects, including book covers.
  • Translate creative concepts and ideas into high-quality illustrations that align with our brand identity.
  • Utilize strong artistic skills to develop original and visually compelling artwork.
  • Maintain a consistent style and high level of detail across illustrations.
  • Adapt to different design styles and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Participate in feedback sessions and incorporate constructive criticism to refine illustrations.


Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Design Studies (BDes) degree or have relevant internship experience in illustration.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your artistic abilities and illustration style.
  • Proven ability to create original and creative book covers that capture attention.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other relevant design software (e.g., Photoshop).
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative while also collaborating effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time commitment of 5 hours per day for the internship duration.


Bonus points:

  • Experience in creating illustrations for mobile apps or digital platforms.
  • Understanding of color theory and composition principles.
  • Ability to work within deadlines and manage time effectively.
