POSITION SUMMARY

You will be a part of the Platform engineering team who focuses on providing a platform that supports all Harness products.You will work with all the product owners and engineering leads to build a scalable, reliable, autonomous, self-service platform. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering the frontend user interface of Harness platform.



About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain UI for Harness Platform that supports all of our products in a fast-paced quality conscious environment
  • Quickly understand complex systems/code and own key pieces of the system, including the delivered quality
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems in a distributed computing environment
  • Perform peer reviews of specifications, designs, and code
  • Work alongside Product Owners, Architects, and cross-functional teams to enable and empower users with user interfaces as well as programmable interfaces such as Terraform implementation, Open API specification compliance.
  • We work primarily in ReactJS for UI Library, webpack for builds, and use swagger & OpenAPI spec v3 for documentation, maintaining end-to-end typing, and generating service-layer code.


ABOUT YOU

  • 7+ years experience developing highly usable customer facing applications
  • Ability to clearly and accurately explain technical issues
  • Extensive experience with JavaScript and other Front End technologies such as HTML and CSS
  • Experience with any of ReactJS, AngularJS, BackboneJS, KnockoutJS, or EmberJS.
  • Experience with responsive design and deep understanding of object-oriented design.
  • Experience with performance debugging and benchmarking.
  • Expertise in turning a design into cleanly architected HTML and CSS.
  • Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Comfort in working in short, agile, iterative development cycles
  • BS in CS or equivalent. Advanced degree is a plus
