Electrical systems need to be safe and reliable to ensure critical processes in industries run without interruptions. Yet, they invariably experience outages due to tripping and equipment failures. Proper design, periodic health analysis of equipment, study of the interplay between various equipment in the system under varied operating conditions are necessary & essential to ensure safe and reliable system operation.

We deliver all services related to the electrical system to proactively ensure system reliability, find the root cause and suggest corrective action.

JEF is delivering power system consulting services to clients across the globe. We are seeking a highly qualified & motivated professional to be part of our Power Systems Consulting team working from our Bengaluru/Chennai office. The position will include delivering a range of projects within the Power Systems team including but not limited to


Steady studies such as load flow, fault level and reactive compensation.

Dynamic studies such as frequency and voltage stability, motor starting etc.

Transient analysis

Harmonic analysis/ power quality/ filter design;

Control interaction studies;

Protection coordination and Arc Flash studies; and

Grid connection/Grid code compliance studies for RE projects (Solar/Wind/BESS/Hybrid)


Requirements/qualifications


Educated to Masters/Ph.D in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization;

10 plus years of experience in power systems consulting;

A network of industry contacts and clients;

Proactive and highly motivated to meet customer requirements;

Proven track record in project delivery;

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often working on multiple projects/ proposals at any one time;

Ability to deliver client work efficiently to externally driven deadlines;

Focus on quality, ensuring excellence of deliverable for both project reports and proposals; and

Excellent interpersonal and organization skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential

Lead on excellence in power systems software packages (e.g. PSS/E,ETAP, PSCAD, DIgSILENT Power-factory, etc.)

The candidate is expected to be well versed with relevant IEC/IEEE standards, grid codes, study methodologies etc.


Responsibilities


To contribute to the technical development and delivery of studies and analysis within the power systems team:


To deliver consulting work related to the various types of power systems studies and analysis;

To provide technical and project management leadership to support the project team in the successful delivery of consulting work;

Management and resourcing of the power systems team; and

Ensuring technical quality of delivery of power systems projects, reports and proposals.

To contribute to the commercial development of studies and analysis within the power systems team:

To build and maintain key client relationships to effectively position power systems services and secure future business;

To identify areas where services/skill sets can be integrated through multi-disciplinary working, thereby developing and growing new services;

To lead the development and delivery of project proposals;

Lead on efficiency improvements in delivery, for example driving the development of new scripts on power systems software packages;
