Role Overview

The Study Abroad Desk Advisor will serve as the primary point of contact for students interested in pursuing international education opportunities through EUGateway. This role focuses on providing personalized guidance, ensuring seamless application processes, and fostering relationships with university stakeholders while promoting study abroad programs.


Key Responsibilities

Student Engagement & Counseling:

  • Provide personalized career and educational counseling.
  • Assist students in exploring suitable international study programs, countries, and universities.
  • Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions to guide students on admissions, visa processes, and scholarships.

Application Support:

  • Assist students with application procedures, including drafting SOPs, LORs, CVs, and other necessary documents.
  • Track application progress using EU Gateway's technology-driven platforms.

Outreach & Promotion:

  • Organize seminars, workshops, and information sessions on campus.
  • Build awareness through social media campaigns, webinars, and university events.

University Liaison & Networking:

  • Establish strong relationships with university administration and student bodies.
  • Collaborate with international offices at partner institutions for placement and admissions.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate student records and generate regular progress reports.
  • Update the team on application status, student queries, and program updates.


Qualifications

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 5-6 years in international student counseling, recruitment, or education consulting.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and online counseling tools.
  • Ability to build rapport with students, parents, and university stakeholders.
