  • Develop and manage supplier relationships for materials/ spares/ consumables related to the day-to-day operation of the solar PV cell facility.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure that the company gets the best possible prices and terms.
  • Manage the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor the market for new and emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve the company's procurement strategy.
  • Work with other departments to ensure that the company's procurement needs are met.
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  2. Supply Chain Management: Oversee and optimize the entire supply chain, ensuring the timely delivery of materials required for solar PV cell manufacturing.
  3. Vendor Management: Identify and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
  4. Cost Control: Implement cost-effective procurement practices while maintaining product quality and reliability.
  5. Bill of Materials (BOM): Utilize your expertise in solar PV cell manufacturing related BOM to accurately assess material requirements and specifications.
  6. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure materials meet the necessary standards and specifications.
  7. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies.
  8. Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to make informed procurement decisions.
  9. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the solar PV industry.
  • Strong understanding of the solar PV supply chain.
  • Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships.
  • Strong techno-commercial skills and a deep understanding of solar PV cell manufacturing-related BOM.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
