Azim Premji Foundation is inviting applications for the Community Health Research Associate role in our Health team. This is a full-time position, based in Bangalore, and will involve extensive travel and fieldwork.


Requirements:

  • A master’s degree in public health or social work is desirable
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience in research, including participatory research on community and/or public health is essential
  • Fluency in written and spoken Kannada, Hindi and English is essential
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Skills in analysis, managing data integrity and accuracy
  • An ability to build relationships with external organisations


Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage & execute studies in community / public health
  • Formulate research questions, design and conduct research on public and community health with inputs from the health core team, focusing on the health needs of vulnerable and underserved communities
  • Do and guide partner organisations on field work to gather primary information
  • Work on research that study and highlight issues related to health in urban / rural communities and publish reports, observations, and studies regularly
  • Collect, collate and analyze health data from credible primary and secondary sources regularly
  • Study and document different strategies, approaches and processes practiced in public and community health
  • Support any other tasks that are related to the research work as required
