Job Description: SAS Engineer


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain SAS analytic solutions to support financial crime initiatives, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in detecting and preventing fraudulent activities.
  • Use SAS DI Studio and SAS EG to create robust data integration flows and perform advanced data manipulation and analysis.
  • Manage and optimize SAS Cubes and Reports for efficient data summarization and visualization.
  • Conduct peer reviews and perform quality checks to ensure the highest standards are met.
  • Handle change requests and issue tracking using JIRA, maintaining clear documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Set up and manage batch jobs, establishing dependencies and scheduling as required.
  • Perform regular environment cleanups, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Contribute to the architecture design of SAS solutions, focusing on scalability and robustness.
  • Implement and manage security measures in line with organizational standards and compliance requirements.
  • Enhance system performance through careful analysis and optimization techniques.
  • Provide support during implementations and upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
  • Monitor SAS environments and solutions, proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Write and maintain base SAS scripts and macros for reusable code and efficient programming.


Must-Have Skills:

  • Solid experience with SAS 9.4_M3, SAS DI Studio, SAS EG, and other relevant SAS technologies.
  • Proven track record in developing analytics solutions in the payments and financial crime domain.
  • Strong understanding of batch job scheduling, dependencies, and environment management.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or similar project management tools.
  • Experience with architecture, security, and performance tuning of SAS applications.
  • Ability to write and maintain advanced SAS scripts and macros.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
