QC Supervisor

Radici Plastics INDIA PVT LTD is the indian company of the High Performance Polymers Business Unit of RadiciGroup, one of the world’s leading producers of a wide range of chemical intermediates, polyamide polymers, engineering plastics, synthetic fibres, with approximately 3,000 employees, and a network of production and sales sites located throughout Europe, North America, South America and Asia.

The QC Supervisor of Radici Plastics India Ltd. will be responsible for planning and implementing systems and activities for Laboratory Quality Control.

The candidate will ensure the quality of incoming, in-process and finished products by effectively managing all QC activities and resources.

The candidate will report directly to the Head of R&D and QC of Radici Plastics India Ltd.

Responsabilities

• define and keep updated the Quality Control Plans: regarding raw materials, in-process controls and finished products, in accordance with procedures, processes, and measurement methodologies, in coordination with the Head of Halol's R&D/QC Department and the Global HPP R&D/QC Direction in Italy;
• ensure proper sampling activities for RM and FG;
• adhere to the testing procedure (according to the testing procedures defined for both RM and FG);
• approve incoming materials (MRC) and maintain documentation in case of deviations;
• support the collection and statistical analysis of QC data (including, but not limited to, Cp, Cpk, pp, ppk) in order to define and keep updated the most appropriate Product Specifications in compliance with specific Customer’s requirements and to promote the continuous Product/Process optimization in agreement with HQ QA policy;
• implement the QS procedure for finished products through in-process control;
• report and discuss non-conformities;
• issue Technical Report or COA, Technical and Safety Data Sheets for each FG;
• develop and implement new tests with R&D support;
• maintain machine/laboratory conditions according to standards;
• define and keep updated the most appropriate product specifications in compliance with specific Customer's requirements and promote the continuous continuous product/process optimization in accordance with HQ QA policy;
• review Lab manual, Quality Plan for Raw material and Finished Goods (as and when required);
• collaborate with QA for corrective and preventive action in order to resolve customer claims and reduce non-conformances,
• maintain test procedures and work instructions updated (ensure follow-up by the quality control team in order to meet ISA/IATF standards);
• participate in Internal Audits and close them with necessary corrective actions;
• perform measurement system analysis, maintenance and calibration of instruments/equipment;
• support the purchase, installation, registration, maintenance, and periodic calibration of measurement instruments to continuously improve laboratory testing capabilities and efficiency;
• ensure adherence to standard operating procedures during production, monitor 5S, material recipes, mixing machine logsbooks, process parameters, and actual operation;
• report anomalies found in production on the shop floor and contribute to their resolution

Technical Knowledge

• experience in Engineering Plastics sector;
• knowledge of Compounding/Polymerization/Chemical process;
• specific knowledge and expertise with PA, PBT, PC, POM, and TPE engineering and plastics preferred, experience in equivalent plastic industry;
• team management skills and experience;
• knowledge of CRM Module/Siebel and SAP are considered a plus;
• knowledge of Windows programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Job requirements

• B Tech Polymer/Chemical degree/ Masters in Chemistry;
• minimum 8 years, post qualification experience in similar roles.
