Pedagogical Technologist

Job description

Position Overview: The Pedagogical Technologist (Ped Tech) will play a pivotal role in integrating technology into the teaching and learning processes. This individual will work closely with the Director of Education and school leadership to develop and implement technology-enhanced learning experiences that align with educational goals and improve student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management
• Lead and manage technology projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with external vendors and partners to implement new technology initiatives.
• Monitor and report on the progress and effectiveness of technology projects and initiatives.
• Hold together learning management systems, content management systems, process management systems.
• Work with director of educations office to create automation for smooth academic operations.

• Curriculum Development
• Work with curriculum developers to integrate technology into new and existing courses and programs.
• Conduct research on the effectiveness of technology-enhanced teaching methods and make recommendations for improvement.

• Technology Integration
• Create and maintain a library of instructional resources and materials for staff.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in education to keep the school current.
• Seamlessly integrate all digital tools and resources that support curriculum objectives.

• Professional Development
• Develop and deliver professional development workshops and training sessions for faculty and staff on educational technology best practices.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in education to ensure the school remains at the forefront of pedagogical innovation.
• Create and maintain a repository of instructional resources and materials fo teachers.

• Technical Support
• Provide frontline technical support for teachers and students using educational technology tools and platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues by working with IT infra team.
• Collaborate with IT staff to ensure the proper functioning of educational technology infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an educational setting, with a focus on technology integration.
• Strong understanding of current educational technology trends and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using various educational technology platforms and software.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective professional development sessions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Canvas, or Google Classroom.
• Knowledge of coding and programming languages relevant to education (e.g., Scratch, Python).
• Experience with data analysis and educational research methods.
• Certification in educational technology or instructional design.
