POSITION: Data Engineer

Location - Bangalore


Experience:

  1. Candidate with 2-4 years of experience


Roles and responsibilities:

  1. Build ETL pipelines using SQL scripts, Shell scripts, Spark jobs and Airflow DAGs.
  2. Writing SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and triggers
  3. Development of BI metadata and content
  4. Query/ETL Performance Tuning
  5. Enhancements in production ETL pipelines & BI content
  6. Publishing Analytical Reports
  7. Work with data architects and business analysts to handle data related issues


Skills:

  1. Strong knowledge and working experience in any of the leading RDBMS
  2. Excellent SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, functions and triggers
  3. Strong query optimization skills
  4. Good knowledge in any ETL tool with the ability to develop/debug complex packages to move and transform data.
  5. Experience in Big Data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Kafka, etc)
  6. Experience in two or more data warehousing projects
  7. Experience in data quality management
  8. Exposure to Cloud Services (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  9. Knowledge in any BI tool, preferably Tableau


Soft skills:


Should have good communication and analytical skills. Should be a self-motivated innovative problem solver.


Good to have:

  1. Experience in Redshift/Athena/Dynamo DB
  2. Experience in Airflow
  3. Knowledge in Python/Scala/Java
  4. Experience in real-time data processing
  5. Experience in handling large volume of data
