Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and other teams to gather and document requirements for data engineering projects.
- Data Analysis: Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.
- Process Design: Design and document data processes, workflows, and data models that meet business needs and align with best practices in data engineering.
- Technical Specifications: Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data engineers to develop, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the data engineering team, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Project Management: Manage and prioritize data engineering projects, tracking progress, addressing issues, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Work with the data engineering team to develop and implement testing and validation strategies to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data solutions.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data engineering projects, including requirements, technical specifications, and process flow.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize and enhance data processes, driving efficiency and improving data quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a data engineering or analytics environment.
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling.
- Experience with data analysis tools and platforms such as SQL, Python, or similar.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
