Information about the role – Subject Matter Expert (SME)

This is a 100% remote part-time position for a Subject Matter Expert for an Emerging Chief Revenue Officer program who will serve in an educational capacity as a Course Consultant. This role will be responsible for collaborating on the course outline, developing assessment activities, reviewing faculty lecture videos, and recommending learning materials. This is a great role for someone who wants work flexibility and the chance to diversify their resume with consultancy and teaching experience.


Qualifications for the role

  • 10+ years in marketing or sales. Direct experience working in a revenue department is a plus.
  • Experience in the c-suite realm is also a plus.
  • Experience in developing learning content centered around the basic principles and concepts of the marketing/sales/revenue fields.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and time management skills.
  • Strong English communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with technology platforms and LMS systems (e.g., Google, Zoom, Canvas).
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check.

  • Experience aligning revenue operations across all departments.
  • Experience identifying and developing new market opportunities.
  • Experience developing growth strategies with the executive team and board of directors.
  • Experience developing appropriate metrics and coordinating compensation and promotions with metrics.
  • Experience identifying Prospect and close relationships with key target clients.
  • Experience managing a revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth.
  • Solid experience establishing both short-term results and long-term strategy, including revenue forecasting
  • Solid experience monitoring the strategies and processes across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition to engagement to success
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that align with business goals and industry trends.


Key Responsibilities for the role

  • Collaborate with course designers frequently to ensure alignment throughout the program.
  • Design and develop authentic, real-world assessments and activities that allow students to apply learnings to realistic workplace challenges and scenarios.
  • Create supplemental learning materials to draw connections between revenue concepts and applications.
  • Review existing course materials and identify opportunities to develop additional instructional content to draw connections, clarify common misconceptions, and demonstrate how to avoid and overcome common mistakes.
  • Review faculty lecture videos to ensure alignment with assessments.



Time Commitment

  • Estimated 10 hours per module for a total of 18 modules.
