COMPANY: Leading Multinational in ManufacturingPOSITION: Packaging Development ManagerLOCATION: IndiaSALARY: USD 4,000 CTCOVERVIEWOur client, a global leader in the manufacturing sector, is looking for a highly skilled Packaging Development Manager with a proven background in apparel labels and packaging. The role requires strong technical know-how, excellent costing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept to commercialization. The selected individual will lead a team of product development professionals, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure innovative, cost-effective, and compliant product solutions.RESPONSIBILITIESSpearhead the end-to-end development of labels and packaging products in line with brand and customer requirements.Create and present mock-ups, prototypes, and design approvals in collaboration with account management teams.Ensure testing, compliance, and regulatory approvals for all new developments.Partner with cross-functional teams to enable smooth transition from development to large-scale production.Investigate and resolve technical challenges related to components, packaging methods, or product performance.Drive costing exercises and supplier negotiations to achieve the best possible pricing for new developments.Monitor and evaluate manufacturing performance to meet quality and operational benchmarks during product launches.Facilitate pre-development meetings, prepare documentation, and circulate clear minutes to stakeholders.Handle multiple projects and brand portfolios simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.Provide leadership and mentorship to the product development team, ensuring continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.PRE-REQUISITESMinimum 10 years’ experience in labels and packaging product development.At least 5 years in a leadership role managing product development teams.Solid expertise in project management with exposure to complex product portfolios.Knowledge of Offset or Gravure printing techniques is an advantage.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management is desirable.ERP experience is required (SAP preferred).
