Job Title: Software Engineer (C#, WPF, Desktop Applications)


Location: Bangalore (WFO)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance desktop applications using C# and WPF.
  • Implement and optimize mathematical algorithms in a scientific/instrumentation context.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless software integration with hardware/instrumentation.
  • Write and maintain test plans, ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and provide solutions for issues related to hardware integration and software functionality.
  • Present and demonstrate ideas and software solutions to internal stakeholders.


Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 10+ years of hands-on development experience, particularly with C# and WPF for desktop applications.
  • Proficient in using Visual Studio 2019/22.
  • Solid experience with source control, tracking, and building tools such as Perforce, JIRA, and VisualBuild.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design (OOD) principles and methodologies.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining software UI, and ideally, experience working with instrumentation or hardware control.
  • Practical experience in debugging, diagnostic techniques, and integrating software with hardware.
  • Familiarity with C++/Python (a plus).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including remote conferencing.


Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of metrology or experience in scientific/instrumentation environments.
  • Ability to analyze complex requirements and proactively develop effective solutions.
  • Understanding of the interaction between software and hardware/electronics within product development.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
