Job Title: NetSuite Developer


Reports to: Assistant Manager of Development


Overview: The NetSuite Developer is a vital position in our technology department. As a NetSuite Developer, you will be responsible for designing, customizing, and implementing NetSuite solutions to meet the business needs of our organization. You will collaborate with various teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the NetSuite platform. Your role will involve developing SuiteScripts, creating customizations, and integrating NetSuite with other systems as necessary. You will also be involved in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing existing NetSuite configurations to ensure optimal performance and functionality. 


Roles, Responsibilities & Duties


  • Able to integrate NetSuite to WordPress, Shopify and Custom PHP web applications.
  • Work with NetSuite APIs to push and pull data to PHP based applications.
  • Design and develop customizations and enhancements within NetSuite using SuiteScript (JavaScript), SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, and other NetSuite tools.
  • Customize NetSuite forms, fields, workflows, and reports meeting business needs.
  • Integrate NetSuite with third-party applications and systems using SuiteTalk, RESTlets, or other integration tools.
  • Perform data migration and data mapping activities as needed.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, test plans, and user guides.
  • Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for NetSuite issues, resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain users, roles, security, profiles, workflow rules, Customize NetSuite fields, page layouts, record types, reports and dashboards, EDI experience, integrate NetSuite with other partners using EDI. Inventory management, advanced inventory management module experience.
  • Stay informed about new NetSuite features, updates, and best practices, and make recommendations for system improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment of NetSuite solutions with business objectives.
  • Extensive experience of developing User Events, API Integrations, SuiteScript, Suitelet, Map/Reduce, & Restlets is essential.
  • Take responsibility for assigned tasks, issues, and ensure delivery on time and to the required quality standard, including processes associated with SOX controls.
  • Familiarity with writing and calling REST APIs and/or integrations of NetSuite & other products.
  • Significant experience with day-to-day technical management of the NetSuite platform. 

Qualifications (Required): 


  • 5+ years experience working with NetSuite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering
  • In depth Knowledge of NetSuite platform including User Events, API Integrations, SuiteScript, Suitelet, Map/Reduce & Restlets.
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
  • Significant experience with day-to-day technical management of the NetSuite platform.
  • Proven experience developing and customizing solutions within the NetSuite platform.
  • Experience with SuiteBuilder, SuiteTalk, SuiteAnalytics, and other NetSuite tools.
  • NetSuite certification (e.g., SuiteFoundation, SuiteCloud Developer Certification) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Good English spoken and written skills


Qualifications (Preferred): .

  • Experience with SuiteBuilder, SuiteCloud IDE, Suite Talk, Suite Bundler and Suite Flow a plus. 
  • Strong NetSuite ERP and CRM Development experience.
  • Experience with JavaScript. • Experience with SuiteScript 1.0 and 2.0, SuiteFlow, and SuiteTalk.
  • Strong understanding of semantic HTML / HTML5, CSS / CSS3. 
  • Existing experience with Node.js, Angular.js and Bootstrap.js. 
  • Must Have Skills: NetSuite, SuiteScript, SuiteTalk, Suitelets, RESTlets, Node.js, Angular.js, Bootstrap.js, SQL, HTML, CSS
  • Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • DevOps - experience in a mature CI/CD SDLC environment, implemented exception handling, logging, monitoring, performance measurement and operational metrics knowledge
  • Knowledge/experience with UKG Pro
  • Knowledge/experience with SOAP Integrations
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps Boards
  • Experienced software development professional with a proven track record in development associated with the delivery of NetSuite Environments 
  • Strong proficiency in SuiteScript (JavaScript) and SuiteFlow.
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
