Role Description

  • We are looking for an accomplished SAP FICO Consultant who will play a pivotal role in implementing and optimizing SAP Financials and Controlling (FICO) modules, leveraging SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori to deliver transformative solutions for our clients.
  • Primary Location: India (remote work is the norm)
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to Uganda, other African countries, and the Middle East is required.
  • Current Project: Requires onsite presence for 8-10 months, with a fly-back option.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation & Configuration:
  • Lead and execute end-to-end SAP FICO implementations, encompassing General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), and Internal Orders.
  • Customize SAP FICO solutions to align with client-specific business processes and requirements.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
  • Conduct detailed analysis of client’s financial processes and map them to SAP FICO functionalities.
  • Design and implement robust financial reporting solutions using SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP Fiori applications.
  • Integration & Interfaces:
  • Ensure seamless integration between SAP FICO and other SAP modules such as Material Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), and Quality Management (QM).
  • Develop and configure interfaces to facilitate data flow between SAP modules and external systems.
  • SAP Fiori & User Experience:
  • Utilize SAP Fiori to enhance user experience (UX) and streamline financial processes.
  • Design and deploy SAP Fiori apps for financial reporting, approvals, and analytics.
  • Business Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend SAP best practices.
  • Assist clients in transforming financial operations through SAP FICO capabilities.
  • Training & Support:
  • Provide comprehensive end-user training and post-implementation support.
  • Develop training materials, user guides, and documentation for financial end-users and support teams.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time and within-budget project completion.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Requirements:
  • Ensure SAP FICO configurations adhere to global financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, SAP innovations, and regulatory changes impacting finance and accounting.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s and master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Professional Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience as an SAP FICO Consultant.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations (both greenfield and brownfield).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in SAP FICO module configuration, implementation, and integration with other SAP modules.
  • Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA Finance functionalities including New Asset Accounting (FI-AA), Controlling (CO), Treasury and Cash Management, and Financial Closing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Fiori applications and UX/UI design principles.
  • Experience with SAP Data Migration tools (LSMW, SAP Data Services) and SAP Solution Manager.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications:
  • SAP certifications in FICO and S/4HANA Finance are highly desirable.
