The organization is a Japanese multinational working in accounting and compliance space.

Key Responsibilities

• Keeping the organization aware of the implications of various direct and indirect tax laws on business decisions.

• Dealing with tax authorities

• Working with external resources for advice and resolutions

• Tax compliance - computations, deposit, returns & assessments, appeals.

• Tax Audit, certification for Transfer Pricing or any Other related matter

• Consultation & Advisory on Direct Taxation (Domestic & International)

• Advisory assistance on international tax issues such as Cross Border Transactions, DTAA aspects, Withholding Tax, Permanent Establishments, Foreign Company Strategies, Repatriations etc

• Ensure quality deliverables in an efficient manner, respond to client queries in a timely manner and meet client expectations on a consistent basis.

• Correspond with the taxation authorities for all the notices and queries for Direct Taxes and Indirect Taxes.

• Efficient management of Direct Taxes and Indirect Taxes assessments, Litigation, and associated risks

• Coordination with Tax team for updates about India Tax including Risks / Litigation

• To provide inputs as and when called upon for efficient tax management practices and to proactively manage the structuring of transactions from time to time, adopting due diligence of the highest standard.

• Oversee and manage the taxation team, ensuring high-performance levels, continuous learning, and development in tax-related matters.

• Build the team as per requirements 

Requirements• Chartered Accountant / LLB
• Post qualification experience of around 20 years, focused on direct and indirect taxes
• Experience in providing Direct Tax at reputed Consulting / CA firms / Law Firms / Industry.
• Should have a track record of competent handling of complex tax matters
• Should be up to date on tax laws and rules and have an expert level understanding of relevant tax laws and rules.
• Excellent written and Verbal Communication & Presentation Skills.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Accounting Standards.
• Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills and dynamic result oriented
