Researches designs develops operates and maintainssupport services for existing and new business applications and/orinformation systems solutions through the integration of technicaland business requirements per standard company IT processmethodology (such as ITIL and ITSM). Includes identificationdevelopment and prioritization of support services according tobusiness criticality. Applications and information systemssolutions include both 3rd party software and internally developedapplications and infrastructure. Responsibilities include but arenot limited to analysis of business requirements configuration of3rd party software implementation of infrastructure solutionscreation of documentation testing and maintenance of applicationsand support and maintenance of infrastructure and informationsystems. Works within the Information Technology function obtainingresources and working in support of objectives and strategies.Participates in architecture reviews to ensure that solutionscomply with standards and use approved technologies. Typicalcustomers are company end users and various functional areas suchas Supply Chain Research and Development Marketing Finance abusiness or the company.
Responsibilities:
Participates as a member of an IT technical team. Performs basicanalysis of functional or service requirements using a fundamentalunderstanding of IT Business processes or problems. Implementsenduser or enterprise infrastructure or application servicesprepared by more senior Engineers.
Applies technicalknowledge to operate and administer infrastructure or softwareplatforms and user groups of moderate complexity. Resolvestechnical issues of moderate complexity within a given technicalarea. Partners with members of a given team or other IT teams asappropriate. Identifies potential escalations and proactivelyalerts management.
Provides solutions to preventproblems from occurring in the area of responsibility includingpatch management. Reviews implement and verifies changes/solutionsof medium complexity and risk. Ensures configuration managementdatabase entries are complete and accurate.
Provideonsite field support to customers and their suppliers includinginstallation servicing and repairing systems equipment andescorting any client/vendor suppliers.
Troubleshootknown and unknown hardware issues related to corporateissued orprovided desktops laptops mobile devices (phones & tablets)peripherals and associated accessories.
Troubleshootknown and unknown software issues related to Windows 10 MicrosoftOffice Outlook Skype for Business OneDrive and other corporatedeployed desktop applications.
Troubleshoot Microsoftpatches corporate software deployments group policies
Build and reimage a corporateissued PC including performing anynecessary upgrades required to solve the enduser productivityissue. Hardware replacement will occur after diagnostics are run toconfirm HW repair replacement or upgrade.
Troubleshooting of LAN/WAN issues impacting employee productivityon their computers. This will involve a demonstrated understandingof networking basics TCP/IP VPN secure access methodologies andwireless technologies.
Perform IMACD activities withinSLAs PC and peripheral add move change
Provideexcellent verbal and written communication to endusers regardingtheir productivity issues. This communication also needs to beprovided to IT and in English (Mandatory). Local language verbaland written skills will be considered a secondary requirement ifrequired due to corporate policy. Must demonstrate the ability tointeract with endusers of all levels using a variety of activelistening and empathetic listening skills. Proven ability tocommunicate highly technical information to both technical andnontechnical endusers both verbally as well as written.
Documents solutions and incident resolution case notes in Englishin assigned reporting systems
Audit maintain and managethe devices asset management systems.
Strongunderstanding and support of shipping & receiving inventory andwarehousing practices.
Assist in loading and unloadingshipments.
Experience in procurement inventory andasset management of IT equipment as well as managing the IT lifecycle.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 39 poundsindependently and participate in group lifts for 40 pounds and/orusing pallet jacks.
Work with and/or around movingmechanical parts.
Regularly walk use hands and fingershandle or feel reach with hands and arms stoop kneel crouch orcrawl climb stairs twist bend work above shoulders grasp carry pushand pull.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems Computer Scienceor equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years of relatedexperience or a Masters degree and up to two years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Good verbal andwritten communication skills. Experience with infrastructureenvironments (e.g. operating system hardware data center securitynetwork voice end user and server webrelated applications).
Experience with business IT applications (e.g. supplychain customer relationship mgmt. HR finance).
Basicskills in scripting and or programming language. Knowledge andexperience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library(ITIL) reference model.
Strong initiativeproblemsolving prioritysetting and collaboration skills. Goodorganizational and analytical skills. Exhibits a high level ofinitiative and integrity. Possess creative ability credibility andselfconfidence.
Network A Linux certifications.
