  • Co-ordinate for inward material delivery including imports. Check Bill of Entries for customs.
  • Enter, process, monitor and coordinate all import shipments, working closely with vendors, ocean carriers / freight forwarders, Customs brokers and trucking companies.
  • Check suitable freight costs
Key skill
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize scheduling backorders in addition to tracking and resolving customer issues.
  • Reassign work as needed to manage customer's expectations making judgements based on current workloads and priorities.
  • Monitor production activity and schedules ensuring that customer commitments are met, clearly communicate status changes back to the customer in regards to early or late anticipated arrivals.
  • Develop and update transport vendors dispatch schedule regarding.
  • Call sales team/Customer to inform them of variances in delivery times.
  • Provide timely reports to immediate Manager as requested.
  • Possess very strong interpersonal skills and be able to discuss dispatch issues with Transport Vendors, Customers, sales team and managers.
