Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting:

* Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow).
* Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and internal financial policies. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and present them to senior management.
* Ensure that all financial transactions are properly documented, recorded, and reported.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting:

* Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
* Analyse budgetary performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
* Monitor expenditures and ensure that spending is within budgetary limits.
* Collaborate with department heads to prepare and review financial forecasts.

3. Taxation & Compliance:

* Ensure timely filing of statutory returns (GST, Income Tax, etc.).
* Coordinate with tax consultants to ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
* Manage audits, both internal and external, and ensure all audit requirements are met.
* Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure adherence.

4. Internal Controls & Process Improvement:

* Establish and maintain a system of strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
* Regularly review financial procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance efficiency.
* Ensure proper reconciliation of all accounts on a monthly and yearly basis.

5. Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

* Monitor daily cash flow, ensuring liquidity to meet operational needs.
* Manage banking relationships and oversee cash, investments, and borrowing activities.
* Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage working capital requirements effectively.

6. Team Leadership & Development:

* Lead and mentor a team of finance and accounts professionals.
* Assign responsibilities, set goals, and evaluate the performance of the team.
* Provide training and professional development opportunities to team members.
* Foster a collaborative environment to enhance teamwork and improve performance.

7. Vendor & Contract Management:

* Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and reconciliations.
* Negotiate terms with vendors and service providers to optimize cost efficiencies.
* Review and approve purchase orders and contracts to ensure adherence to budget.

8. Financial Analysis & Insights:

* Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
* Provide financial insights to support management in decision-making processes.
* Evaluate financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).

9. Stakeholder Collaboration:

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with business objectives.
* Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
* Ensure that financial information is communicated effectively to internal stakeholders.

RequirementsKey Skills & Qualifications:

• Education:

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
* Professional certifications such as CA (Chartered Accountant), CMA, or CPA can be considered as preferable but not mandatory

• Experience:

* 5-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
* Strong experience in financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and compliance.
* Proven track record of managing accounting teams and implementing process improvements.

• Skills:

* Excellent knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and financial management practices.
* Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
