Primary Responsibilities:

Team Building & Leadership: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing SRE team in India, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvementProject Ownership: Oversee and manage key projects such as performance testing, CI/CD tooling, and infrastructure/application migrations, ensuring timely and successful deliveryCross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the SRE team in the United States to ensure alignment on goals, strategies, and best practices, while maintaining effective communication across time zonesStrategic Planning: Develop and execute the SRE strategy for the India team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and SRE best practicesOperational Excellence: Ensure the India team adheres to high standards of system reliability, scalability, and performance, contributing to the overall stability of our servicesIncident Management: Lead and coordinate incident response efforts within the India team, ensuring quick resolution and effective post-mortem analysisAutomation & Tooling: Drive the development and adoption of automation tools to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and enhance system reliabilityContinuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and innovation within the SRE teamStakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and operations teams to support key initiatives and drive successful outcomesComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related roles, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management positionProject Management: Experience in managing complex projects, including stress testing, build tooling, and migrations, with a focus on timely and effective deliveryMonitoring: Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etcTechnical Expertise: Solid background in systems architecture, cloud infrastructure, networking, and automation toolsAutomation: Proficiency in infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similarLeadership Skills: Proven ability to recruit, lead, and mentor high-performing engineering teams, particularly in a distributed or global settingCollaboration: Proven excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across time zones and cultural contexts
