Associate Manager - Mainframe Development

Location: Chennai/Pune/Bangalore

Job Summary  

Mainframe developers play a critical role in managing and maintaining large-scale computing systems that are essential for many organizations. They ensure that these systems run smoothly and efficiently, handling everything from coding to troubleshooting.


Responsibilities and Duties  

Participate in requirement gathering, design, development, and support of Mainframe based application with both batch and online portion. Extensive experience in migration projects from mainframe 3270 screen to modern HTML and Java script based online screens using CICS in the background. Working knowledge of minimum 1 year into PATTERN is preferred Working knowledge of investor system Ability to develop technical design from functional specifications Ability to do impact analysis for given functional / technical design Ability to create High level and low-level design / estimation Ability to create test plan and capability for Coding/Unit and Integration /system testing Excellent communication, interpersonal skills with good Analytical and logical reasoning is mandatory. Banking or Insurance or Mortgage Loan Servicing business area knowledge would be helpful. 

Qualifications and Skills  

Software Development Experience 10-12 years Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or equivalent 12+ years of total IT work experience 8+ years of experience into Mainframe application development and migration using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, PATTERN, Scheduler, Pivot and relevant tool Minimum 4+ years of working experience into Mortgage Servicing system including good exposure to investor system is preferred but not mandatory Mature design, coding, testing and debugging skills A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and having the determination to follow things through. Excellent prioritization and time management. The ability to present and absorb complex ideas quickly and accurately. An ability to balance multiple time-critical tasks at the same time. Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of programming requirements based on project schedules Required to work directly with SQA teams to provide support and defect resolution

Education:
UG: Any Graduate - Computer Specialization Required
