The SQL MySQL Developer plays acrucial role in the design development and maintenance of databasesas well as the implementation and optimization of SQL queries. Thisrole is essential in ensuring the efficient management andutilization of data within an organization by leveraging thecapabilities of MySQL databases.

Keyresponsibilities

  • Designdevelop and maintain complex SQL queries and storedprocedures.

  • Optimize and improveexisting SQL queries for performance andscalability.

  • Work closely withcrossfunctional teams to understand database requirements andimplement efficient databasesolutions.

  • Monitor and ensure theintegrity and security of databases including backup and recoveryprocesses.

  • Perform data analysis toidentify trends patterns and insights to support businessdecisionmaking.

  • Collaborate withsoftware developers to integrate database functionality intoapplications.

  • Conduct performancetuning and optimization of databases for maximumefficiency.

  • Create and maintaindocumentation of database processes andprocedures.

  • Troubleshoot and resolvedatabaserelated issues and errors ontime.

  • Implement and maintaindatabase security measures to protect sensitivedata.


RequirementsRequiredqualifications

  • Apprentice orBachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or arelatedfield.

  • Understanding ofrelational database management systems and SQLprinciples.

  • Knowledge of MySQLdatabase administration anddevelopment.

  • Proficiency in writingand optimising SQL queries and storedprocedures.

  • Experience working withdatabase design normalisation and performancetuning.

  • Ability to collaborateeffectively with crossfunctional teams and communicate technicalconcepts to nontechnicalstakeholders.

  • Strong analytical andproblemsolving skills for data analysis andtroubleshooting.

  • Understanding of datasecurity and compliancestandards.

  • Knowledge of softwaredevelopment lifecycle and version controlsystems.

  • Ability to adapt to newtechnologies and learn continuously in a fastpacedenvironment.

  • Understanding ofindexing query execution plans and database optimizationtechniques.

  • Experience with datamodelling tools andtechniques.

  • Knowledge of ETLprocesses andtools.

  • Familiarity with NoSQLdatabases is aplus.

  • Certifications in MySQLor relevant database technologies areadvantageous.



Required QualificationsBachelor s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, ora related field Basic understanding of data analysis andvisualisation concepts Familiarity with data visualisation toolssuch as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView Proficiency in SQL anddatabase management Knowledge of programming languages such asPython or R Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellentverbal and written communication skills Ability to work well in ateam environment Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracySelf-motivated and eager to learn new technologies
