What You’ll Do
As a Front End Software Engineer in the Front End Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in developing, and maintaining systems that provide valuable insights to customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with Product Management, UX designers, and the larger engineering team to deliver quality user interfaces.
- Work with other UI engineers and UX to build out a suite of loosely-coupled reusable components.
- Act as a role model and mentor to other engineers, proactively acting to unblock others and fostering a culture of learning and growth
- Brainstorm, design and develop new ways to visualize and present complex information to users.
- Build world-class user experiences.
- Tackle design and product problems.
- Take full ownership of projects from design to implementation and deployment.
What You’ll Bring:
- Knowledge of web frameworks, such as, Angular
- Creating custom, general use modules and components
- Experience maintaining modern web tooling at an enterprise scale with a deep understanding of how they work – Jest, Webpack, Linting, Transpiling
- Experience maintaining enterprise npm projects, including private packages, managing dependency upgrades and package audits
- Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environment
- Proven track record of leading a project the design phase through delivery
- Experience mentoring other developers
- A sense of urgency and ownership over the product
- Focus on quality, details, and meeting user needs
- A love for making things beautiful and a strong understanding of usability and visual design.
