PeopleManagement

  • Establishand maintain seamless coordination & cooperation with alldepartments of the hotel to ensure maximum cooperation productivitymorale and guest service.
  • Interact with guestsand personnel of the hotel in an efficient and friendlymanner.
  • Provide effectivesupport to the team to enable them to provide a range of effectiveand efficient services.
  • Ensure that the teamhas been trained for all safetyprovisions.
  • Motivate and develop staff toensure smooth functioning of the department and promoteteamwork.
  • Conduct ongoing training and coachall the employees and ensure to maintainrecords.
  • Conduct briefing for HousekeepingAttendants.
  • Respond to customer queries byresolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensurecustomer satisfaction.
  • Guides and advises HKMon key performance indicators of employees in the department andensures measurement of the same.
  • Ensuresadherence to company and hotel policies by all departmentalemployees.

OperationalManagement

Administration:

  • Dailyclosing stock of mini bar store.
  • Prepare storerequisitions and draw items for generalstore.
  • To update pending maintenancelist.
  • To monitor the performance ofdesk.
  • Responsible for the operation ofdepartment in the absence of the HKM.
  • Maintainthe housekeeping store and stock record by constant updating ofreceipts and issues.
  • To ensure items areordered before they reach the defined reorderlevel.
  • Responsible for the periodical physicalInventory of items in store and circulation  Uniform linenguest supplies cleaning supplies Operational equipment and capitalequipment.

Linenand uniformroom:

  • Routinecheck on the condition of the linen and uniform and the quality ofprocessing.
  • Assign job totailor.
  • Inventory control of linen and uniformby conducting month end inventory
  • Quality auditreplacing worn out items with new ones from store and regulardiscards.
  • Issue of uniforms for newstaff.
  • Strictly adhere to exchange procedureand loan procedures.
  • Submit required reports toHKM.
  • Ensure laundry linen and uniform room arepest free.
  • Ensures all maintenance are reportedon time to engineering department and timely action istaken.

Guestfloors:

  • Routinecheck on the floor staff condition of the linen and uniformsupplies equipments and trolleys.
  • Responsiblefor providing hygienically clean safe and comfortable rooms witheffective amenities and mini bar by checking all rooms criticallyand inspecting them.
  • Plan for PMPschedule.
  • Check occupancy reports and follow upwith concerned personnel on thorough cleaning conducted and statusof under repair rooms.
  • To ensure availabilityof rooms at all times based on arrivaldeparture pattern of thehotel by clearing departure rooms on priority and avoiding majorbreak down in rooms by regular preventing maintenanceprogramme.
  • Responsible for the activities ofall floor staff and housekeeping attendants under herjurisdiction.
  • Responsible for cleanlinessupkeep and maintenance of all areas pantries trolleys shaftscorridors elevator landings staircasesetc.
  • Responsible for smooth operation of theshift by ensuring all equipments are in good working condition andsufficient quantity of linen and guest and cleaning supplies areprovided to staff.
  • Reporting defects in allareas and regular follow up with engineering department on pendingmaintenance.
  • Reporting irregularities on thefloor to HKM Occupancy reports damages missing items Lost and foundproperties of guests.
  • Responsible for effectivemini bar management as per organizations standards by checking andreplenish mini bar and produce dockets forposting.
  • Optimizes work productivity byeffectively scheduling and allocating all available resources andrecommends changes in methods equipment design staff to HKM inorder to improve departmental standards/productivity and ensuresimplementation of thesame.

Publicarea:

  • Detailedchecking of public area.
  • Follow thoroughcleaning schedule strictly.
  • Report all defectsin area to the engineering department and ensure they are rectifiedimmediately Liaise with engineering department daily for thesame.
  • Responsible for smooth operation of theshift by ensuring all equipments are in good working condition andsufficient quantity of cleaning supplies are provided tostaff.
  • Plan for PMPschedule.
  • To maintain a complete advanceschedule of renovation of Public area in direct consultation andconcurrence withHKM.

Stafftraining:

  • Ensuresdepartmental employees are fully trained conduct regular trainingsessions personally through class room and on the jobtraining.
  • Ensures attendance on behavioral andvocational training in own and related areas to enhance kills andencourage multi functionality.
  • Ensures careerdevelopment and succession planning forsubordinates.
  • Review the performance of directsubordinates and determine their development needs by using theappraisal system.
  • Counsel subordinates in workrelated matters.
  • Recommends hiring promotionsincrements disciplinary action performance related salaryincrements for all subordinates.
  • Ensuredepartment employees are fully trained on all hotel systemsprocedures to ensure safetyrequirements.

Hygiene/ Personal safety /Environment:

  • Ensuresthat the workplace and storage areas remain clean andtidy.
  • Respects the instructions and safetyguidelines for the equipment (s)heuses.
  • Applies the hotels security regulations(in case of fire etc).
  • Respects the hotelscommitments to the Environment Charter (saving energy recyclingsorting waste etc) and meets Ibis ISO 14001 environmentalcommitments as applicable to therole.

Qualifications :

Minimum 3 Years of relevantexperience.

Any degree or Diploma in HotelManagement.
