Requirements& ProfessionalSkills

  • Bachelors degree in chemicalengineering.
  • Proficientin fluid dynamics heat transfer andthermodynamics.
  • Experienceincludes process design equipment sizing and componentselection.
  • Minimum515 years relevant working experience process design of plants andsystems for projects in the Oil & Gas PetrochemicalChemical or PharmaceuticalIndustries
  • Wellversedin all local and international codes and standards on the relatedfield
  • Proficientin using process engineering design software like HTRIHYSYS
  • Knowledgeablein usingAspen.
  • Wellversed in drafting applications such as AutoCAD drafting SmartPlantP&ID.

Responsibilities

  • PrepareBasic FEED and Detailed Engineering Design complying with projectrequirement and industrystandards.
  • Performsizing calculations for Process Equipment and provide informationin the form of equipmentdatasheet.
  • Experiencedin HTRI rating & sizing for heatexchangers.
  • Abilityto evaluate existing heatexchanger.
  • Assistsin preparing cost estimate for tenderproposal.
  • Familiarwith related vendorstheir products and perform technical evaluationon vendor proposal.
  • Providestechnical assistance to construction project commissioning andstartupactivities.
  • Supportsafety related evaluation HAZOPmeetings.
  • Attendssite check andverification.

Responsibilities Performs stress and support engineering relatedactivities for assigned project and activity. Conversant withstress analysis of piping connected to various types of equipmentlike Column, tanks, exchangers, pumps/ compressors/ reactors etc.Conversant with requirements like trunnion calculation, flangeleakage calculations, qualification of allowable nozzle loads etc.Provides resolution of technical issues related to stress andsupport engineering. Prioritization and planning of engineeringactivities and deliverables. Good hands-on experience on CAESAR IIsoftware. Familiarity with navigating on Smart plant review andNavisworks software. Understanding of support philosophy andsupport standards. Main Tasks Overall delivery of technicaldeliverables of the task force. Leadership of technical issueresolution. Productive utilization and absorption of engineeringand design resources. Prioritization and planning of engineeringactivities and deliverables. Performs discipline engineering scope.Supports field technical issues and support sub-team leads intechnical communications with clients/vendors when required. Select proper springs for necessary support.Analysis capabilities for Jacketed Piping system, FRP Pipingsystem, Expansion joints piping system etc. Analysis capabilitiesthe considering the effects of the modular design and transitphase, static & differential structural deflections associatedwith fabrication, lift, transit and site installation. EvaluateStress, Displacement, Forces and moments on restraints for supportdesign and Evaluate piping loads with in allowable allowable nozzleloads. Nozzle Flexibilities (WRC) and Stresses. Flange Leak Check.Dynamic analysis capabilities including modal, harmonic andresponse spectrum analysis. Data sheet preparation for Expansionjoints, spring hanger data sheet and updating the Pipe supportstandards Stress analysis report preparation. Knowledge of pipingcodes and standards like ASME, API, IBR etc
