PrimaryResponsibilities

 

  • Toensure that all employees report for duty punctually wearing thecorrect uniform and name badge at alltimes.
  • To assist in thebuilding of an efficient team of employees by taking an activeinterest in their welfare safety anddevelopment.
  • Assist in the responsibility ofplanning and coordination functions has to lead train motivate andinspire employees.
  • To ensure that all employeesprovide courteous and professional service at alltimes.
  • To assist in the training of theemployees ensuring that they acquire the necessary skills knowledgecommunication to perform their duties with the maximumefficiency.
  • To supervise the employees withinthe department ensuring that the correct standards and methods ofservice are maintained as stated in the Departments OperationsManual.
  • To ensure that the DepartmentsOperational Budget is strictly adhered to and that all costs arestrictly controlled.
  • To ensure that allemployees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the HotelsEmployee Rules and Regulations.
  • To ensure thatall employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to theHotels policy relating to Fire Health andSafety.
  • To carry out any other reasonableduties and responsibilities asassigned.

ADMINISTRATIVERESPONSIBILITIES

  • Toensure that standards are in accordance with the operationsmanual.
  • To read the communication book on dailyevents of public areas and cleaningcontractors.
  • To schedule staffs annual leaveand overtime.
  • Assists in the preparation andupdating of the Housekeeping Departmental OperationsManual
  • To investigate and submit report onguest comments.
  • Coordinates and maintainsequipment maintenance reports andrecords.

OPERATIONALRESPONSIBILITIES

  • EnsuresHousekeeping employees deliver the brand promise and provideexceptional guest service at all times.
  • EnsuresHousekeeping employees also provide excellent service to internalcustomers as appropriate
  • Handles all guest andinternal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous andefficient manner following through to make sure problems areresolved satisfactorily.
  • Maintains positiveguest and colleague interactions with good workingrelationships.
  • Conducts inventory of guestsupplies cleaning supplies printing and stationary for the roomslinen etc. and report to the ExecutiveHousekeeper.
  • Conducts regular inspections ofrooms public areas and laundry ensuring standards of cleanliness ismaintained at all times.
  • Ensures the properhandling and control of lost and founditems.
  • Ensures all daily arrival V.I.P. roomsspecial request rooms and long stay guest rooms are prepared withthe appropriate welcome and otheramenities.
  • Works closely with the Front Officeand Engineering Departments to block rooms as necessary formaintenance.
  • Works closely with othermanagement personnel in a supportive and flexible manner focusingon the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotelguests.

COMMERCIALRESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assiststhe Executive Housekeeper to maximize employee productivity throughthe use of multiskills multitasking and flexible scheduling to meetthe financial goals of the business as well as the expectations ofthe guests
  • Assists Executive Housekeeper toensure that Housekeeping operates with the lowest possible coststructure while also delivering the Sofitel standards to theguest.

Qualifications:

Knowledge andExperience

 

  • Degreein Hotel Management from Reputed Hotel School ismust
  • More than 5 years of experiencein Hotel Industry and preferably from LuxuryBackground
  • Warm and caring personality;previous Housekeeping Manager experience in luxury hotel is anasset
  • Ability to anticipate and focus attentionon guest needs being professional andwelcoming
  • Excellent organizational skills andtime management
  • Technologically savvy can learnand use new systems quickly
  • Ability toaccurately and efficiently prepare requestedreports
  • Exceptional verbal and written Englishskills
