Overview:The DataStagerole is crucial to our organization as it involves designingdeveloping and maintaining efficient and reliable ETL processesusing IBM DataStage. This position is essential for ensuring thesmooth flow and transformation of data across various systems whichis integral to our datadriven decisionmakingprocesses.KeyResponsibilities:
  • Designingdeveloping and testing DataStage ETL jobs to extract transform andload data from various sources into data warehousesystems.
  • Collaborating with data architectsanalysts and business users to understand and translate businessrequirements into technicalsolutions.
  • Optimizing and tuning ETL processesfor maximum performance andefficiency.
  • Implementing data quality andvalidation processes to ensure accurate and reliable dataintegration.
  • Monitoring troubleshooting andresolving issues related to DataStage jobs and ETLprocesses.
  • Documenting ETL processes datamappings and data dictionaries.
  • Participatingin the evaluation and implementation of new data integrationtechnologies and tools.
  • Collaborating withcrossfunctional teams to support datarelated initiatives andprojects.
  • Providing technical support andguidance to other team members.
  • Adhering todata security and compliancerequirements.
RequiredQualifications:
  • Bachelors degree inComputer Science Information Technology or a relatedfield.
  • Proven experience working with IBMDataStage in designing developing and implementing ETLsolutions.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and databaseconcepts.
  • Experience with data warehousingconcepts dimensional modeling and ETL bestpractices.
  • Proficiency in data integrationtechniques and tools.
  • Excellent understandingof data quality and data profilingtechniques.
  • Strong analytical andproblemsolving skills.
  • Ability to prioritizeand manage multiple tasks in a fastpacedenvironment.
  • Excellent communication andcollaboration abilities.
  • Relevantcertifications in ETL and data integration technologies are aplus.
