JobSummary:
The Product Sales SpecialistCybersecurity is a key technical sales role responsible for drivingsales of cybersecurity solutions. With deep knowledge ofcybersecurity products the PSS provides expertise advice anddemonstrations to help customers understand how these solutionsmeet their security needs. This role works closely with the accountmanagement Sales Presales and engineering teams playing a criticalrole in the technical aspect of sales engagements from discovery toclosing.
The ideal candidate will have 5 yearsof experience in cybersecurity sales or related technical fields.They should have an indepth understanding of cybersecurity trendsthreats and compliance requirements. This person will serve as atrusted advisor to clients and contribute to the company scybersecurity product roadmap based on customer feedback and marketdemands.
KeyResponsibilities:
1. Product andIndustry Expertise:
Act as the primary expert for the company scybersecurity product portfolio including firewall solutionsintrusion detection systems (IDS) endpoint protection Identity andAccess Management (IDAM) encryption and cloudsecurity.
Stay updated on cybersecurity threats industry trends andcompliance regulations (e.g. GDPR HIPAAPCIDSS).
Conduct or assist indepth product demonstrations and proofofconceptsessions to show the effectiveness and value of the cybersecuritysolutions.
2. CustomerEngagement:
Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify newcybersecurityopportunities.
Work directly with customers to understand theirsecurity challenges compliance requirements and riskprofiles.
Propose tailored solutions that meet customers specificcybersecurity needs integrating with their existing technologyenvironments.
3. SalesSupport:
Assist in building cybersecurityfocused sales strategies foraccounts leveraging technical knowledge to highlight the product svalue.
Provide presales and postsales support including responding totechnical questions creating proposals and addressing customerconcerns.
Work with the broader sales team to close deals by providingtechnical validation and product expertise during the salescycle.
4. Solution Design andIntegration:
Engage in the design of customerspecific securityarchitectures that align with their business objectives andcompliance requirements.
Offer advice on best practices for implementationensuring seamless integration with the customer s existinginfrastructure.
5. CustomerSuccess and Training:
Provide training sessions and webinars to customersand internal sales teams on cybersecurity threats product featuresand new updates.
Ensure customers are fully enabled and educated onproduct capabilities fostering longterm relationships andloyalty.
6. Market Intelligence andFeedback:
Gather market insights and customer feedback to inform productmanagement teams about future enhancements or new productopportunities.
Act as a thought leader by providing input oncybersecurity market shifts and influencing product developmentbased on realworld customer needs.
7. CrossFunctionalCollaboration:
Work closely with marketing engineering and productteams to ensure product messaging aligns with customer needs andcompetitivedifferentiators.
Coordinate with technical teams to troubleshootdeployment issues and ensure customer successpostsale.
Five ormore years of experience in cybersecurity sales technicalconsulting or security engineeringroles.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in atechnical sales environment ideally withincybersecurity.
TechnicalKnowledge:
Understanding of security frameworks (e.g. NIST ISO/IEC27001).
Experience with cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls VPNsIDS/IPS endpoint security identity and access management (IAM)encryption and cloudsecurity.
Familiarity with security operations (SOC) vulnerability managementand incident response.
Certifications (preferred but notrequired):
CISSP CISM CEH or equivalent cybersecurity certifications will be aplus.
Skills:
Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability toexplain complex technical concepts to both technical andnontechnical audiences.
Problemsolving mindset with the ability to designtailored solutions for customers unique cybersecurityneeds.
Ability to build strong relationships with customers becoming atrusted advisor.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Information Security Computer ScienceEngineering BCA or related field.
