We are currently looking for a Tool Crib /Room Manager, Locomotive at our project site in Dahod. This position willreport to the Manufacturing Manager.

The job responsibilities of the Tool Crib /Room Manager, Locomotive include (but not limited to):

Maintains a detailed inventory of Tools, Equipment etc.and ensure their proper storage and maintenance. upports Production / Manufacturing to manage andguarantee on-time availability of Tools to ensure continuous production andincrease of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). Supervises the Installation and Commissioning of Newtools, including conducting periodic quality checks to ensure that the finishedproduct meets the required specifications. Provides technical advice and support on all aspects ofTools design, Manufacturing and estimation. Responsible for Inventory control of Tools, Equipment& Consumables in an orderly and accessible manner. Defines and manages the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)and conducts timely Risk Assessments of the Processes and Tasks for Tool Crib /Room. Works closely with Production / Manufacturing to identifyand troubleshoot tooling issues, implementing solutions to maximize theefficiency, minimize scrap and downtime. Ensures that all Jigs, Fixtures and Tools are properlymaintained and repaired as per defined Corrective and Preventive Maintenanceschedules. Develops Continual Improvement plans and SparesManagement of the New / Existing tools. Maintains accurate records of all tooling maintenance andrepairs (with the focus on MTBF, MTTR, Tools History Card, Monthly Performancedata, SMED etc.). Controls the minimum / maximum levels for all the Tools,Hand Tools etc. in the tracking software as desired. Works with Quality to manage Tooling requirements,documentation etc. as specified in the Quality Systems. Coordinates with Vendors for the Procurement of New toolsor the Repair of existing ones. Assists in budget preparation for the Tool roomoperations and monitors the expenditures.

Graduate in Industrial Engineering or MechanicalEngineering or related field required. Should have at least 10-12 years’ experience in theRolling stock domain. Experience in Industrialization of rolling stock andcross-functional domains awareness is a must. Ability to read and interpret standards, blueprints,layouts, drawings, 2D / 3D models and wiring diagrams. Advanced knowledge of Assembly Jigs, fixtures, handtools, their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. Well-versed in working with the Microsoft Office suite,AutoCAD, SAP ERP for Bill of Material (BOM), Configuration follow-up andadministrative applications. A self-motivator with a results-driven approach havingeffective technical and inter-personal skills.
