Profile Associate DirectorIndirect Tax

The incumbent shall be responsible for managingand scaling up the Indirect Tax practice of

thefirm including litigations and advisory on a panIndia basis underthe guidance of a

Partner. He shall also beresponsible for building up the teams and guiding and mentoring

them. He shall work closely with the teammembers and assist them on daytoday client

issues ensure timely client deliverables keep abreast oflatest regulatory changes and judicial

pronouncements and abide by an established set of standardoperating procedures. The

responsibilitiesshall include but shall not be limited to:

Business generation from existing and newclients

Managing and building clientrelationships

Handling litigations viz.notices inquiries show cause notices department audits etc. and

written and inperson representations beforeauthorities

Ensure client deadlines areplanned executed and closed within time.

Ensure delegation and coordination among teams to achieve desiredresults

Responding and providing solutions totechnical issues to clients and internal teams

Ensuring systems and processes are being followed by teams

Regularly discuss and report client issues tothe Partner

Building and strengthening clientrelationships through regular meetings

Guidedirect and motivate team members and team building

Building new products in indirect taxes

Leading technical research in developments in the fieldof indirect taxes

Requirements

Qualified CA with more than 10 years of postqualificationexperience in the field of

Indirect Taxes inprofessional services firm

Expert knowledge inindirect taxes viz. GST Service Tax VAT Excise and Customs.

Experience in handling litigations andrepresentations before tax authorities

Expertin drafting responses to legal notices/refund applications andother submissions

Experience in businessgeneration and bringing in new clients

Shouldhave analytical thought processes to understand and interpret legalprovisions of

relevant laws.
