About you and this Role:

As an Accounting Leader, you are responsible to supervise the day to day activities of a team and sets priorities to ensure accounting activity recorded within the company’s records and books are accurate and complete. You are accountable for budgeting, product costing, recording, reporting, analyzing and communicating functional/business activity results.

Responsibilities:

Lead the Financial and Statutory Accounting for Indian entities. Supervise small team (Associates and Accountants) performing accounting activities for Indian entities (Influential Leader) Ensure the following accounting activities are conducted timely, accurately to US GAAP, Ind AS and Dow’s standard such asDay to day accounting, Monthly/quarterly/annual closing activities, Monthly balance sheet reconciliation in Black Line application, Monthly flux analysis, Quarterly/year end schedules Preparation of financial statements as per Indian GAAP including statutory audit schedules. Ensure all internal controls are effective and performed as per the process. Support external and internal audits. Support tax team on preparation of various tax reports including tax audits. Provide leadership in the development, testing, and implementation of process automation including macros and Robotics Process Automation (RPA). Drive process improvements to achieve productivity gains. As an influential leader, assist functional leader on organizational design and planning, staffing, employee development, and performance management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Commerce (required) Chartered Accountant (required) US CPA (preferred) Financial Accounting with IGAAP/USGAAP/IFRS (10+ years) Corporate / public accounting (6+ years) Western multinational (4+ years) Public Accounting (4+ years) People leadership (4+ years)

Preferred Skills:

Highly proficient financial accountant following Ind AS, US GAAP and IFRS. Results driven. Highly motivated with strong aspirations to achieve and develop. Process-oriented mindset. Interest in broad array of finance disciplines. Detailed and analytical thinker. Proficient in SAP finance - financial accounting module Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel) Excellent communication skills. Highly collaborative. Able to work across levels & roles. Fluent in English (written and verbal). People leadership skills. Project management skills.
