Software Project Manager

We arelooking for an experienced professional to join the SoftwareR&D team as a Project Manager. The SPM responsibilitiesinclude overseeing software projects from inception to completioncollaborating across various stakeholders including ProductManagement UX Development and Validation teams to resolve anydependencies or communication issues monitoring project status andbudget putting in place risk mitigation plans for schedule andbudgetdeviations.
TheSoftware Project Manager is expected to drive severalmultidisciplinary projects and activities involving differenttechnology stacks including Hardware Mechanical and Electronics& Software Embedded and Cloud. The SPM should thereforehave a strong technical foundation with an aptitude to develop endto end understanding of how systems and software work. To this endprior demonstrated outcomes in management of multidisciplinaryprojects in domains such as Automotive Avionics ConsumerElectronics etc. is highlydesirable.
Thecandidate should have good working knowledge of project estimationtechniques both in terms of budget and schedule. They should havestrong communication and stakeholder management skills with theability to make quick decisions in ambiguous scenarios or ones withconflictingpriorities.
Someof the key responsibilities of the SPM include:
Workingwith various crossfunctional teams such as PM UX Development andV&V to understand and finalize Project scopes timelines andbudgetparameters
Guiding the project through various milestones such as kickoffintermediate checkpoints and final approval with inputs from allstakeholders
Working with Development leads to ensure adherence to qualityprocess and scheduleKPIs
Tracking milestones deliverables and changerequests.
Managing activities related to compliance and technicaldocumentation
Conducting post release activities to monitor feedback from endusers to drive continuous improvements.
DesiredQualifications:
The idealcandidate should have a strong technical foundation withdemonstrated capability to understand andbuildcomplex software systems. Theparameters below are a guiding set however these should beinterpreted in the contextof
theresponsibilities of the role as outlined above:
Abachelors degree in information technology software developmentmanagement software engineering computer science or a relatedfield.
Demonstrated experience in managing multiple interdisciplinarysoftware development projects with a good mix of embedded and cloudsoftware
Strong leadership decisionmaking and organizationskills.
Ability to influence and motivate stakeholders through effectivecommunication
Strong attention to detail and multitaskingskills.
Experience with safety critical software development and productcompliance or certification processes is aplus.
