Role
IT Technology Services Specialists shape the next level of ECS offerings for multiple scenarios within the company. You will join a team of motivated individuals in a well-established broader group of automation experts.
What you’ll do
Automation reliability and engineering team (ARE) at SAP ECS plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and scalability of our systems and applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain our infrastructure, automate processes, and optimize performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the success of our products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create agile methodologies and DevOps practices to optimize and establish a reliable automation infrastructure.
- Design resilient architectures to ensure high availability and reliability of systems and applications.
- Analyse system outages and create decision tree for faster resolution of the issues.
- Implement self-healing mechanisms and automated remediation actions to mitigate issues proactively.
- Monitor resource utilization trends and performance metrics to identify potential outliers.
- Define meaningful SLIs and establish corresponding SLOs to measure system reliability and performance.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven expertise in SAP Technologies (SAP NetWeaver certification preferred).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, system administration, and security principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity in Data science tools, Machine learning fundamentals and algorithms.
- Experience in designing and implementing automated tests.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Shell, or similar.
- Knowledge on configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is an added advantage.
