Role Purpose: This role sits within the FTSE Russell Operations team, supporting FTSE Russell Index and Benchmark Solutions within the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). The Index Review Specialist plays a meaningful role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial indices by conducting detailed reviews and assessments. They ensure that index methodologies are followed meticulously, and any vital adjustments are made promptly to reflect market changes accurately. The Index Review team are ultimately responsible for the review, rebalance, and reconstitution of the FTSE Russell index / product portfolio. It is a global group, with teams in Hong Kong, Taipei, London, and Fort Mill. This position requires flexibility to work in all shifts, including Nights, demonstrating adaptability and dedication to fulfill job responsibilities around the clock. Please note that the working hours for this position can vary as the business needs require. This means that weekend work, extended hours, and market holiday coverage can and will be encouraged to meet critical business Objectives. Key Responsibilities The Individual on the Index Review Team will assist in conducting periodic reviews and rebalances for the FTSE Russell Indices. Index Review & Execution Support the execution of the Index Review process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established methodologies and regulatory standards. Assist in evaluating methodology changes and contribute to the implementation of updates in collaboration with senior team members. Maintain operational excellence in index rebalances, ensuring timely and precise delivery of outputs. Quality Control & Risk Awareness Apply quality assurance checks to maintain data integrity and consistency across index products. Escalate potential risks or anomalies identified during review processes, contributing to the team's risk mitigation efforts. Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance frameworks related to index data and review procedures. Cross-Team Collaboration Work closely with product, research, and technology teams to support index-related initiatives and data enhancements. Coordinate with external data vendors to ensure timely and accurate data delivery for index operations. Participate in team discussions and contribute insights to improve process efficiency and data workflows. Documentation & Reporting Maintain clear and accurate documentation of index review activities, operational procedures, and data handling protocols. Assist in preparing reports and summaries for internal stakeholders, highlighting key findings and operational metrics. Track and report performance indicators to support continuous improvement efforts. Client & Issue Resolution Support Provide operational support in resolving client queries and data-related issues concerning index construction and maintenance. Collaborate with senior specialists to address complex challenges and ensure client satisfaction. Qualifications & Skills 3-6 years of experience in Index Review management, financial data operations, or related roles. Solid understanding of financial markets and index methodologies. Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Workspace, and index platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Familiarity with regulatory and governance standards in financial data management.
