We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of People Data Platforms and Products 

Business : Human Resources

Principal Responsibilities :

Product Ownership & Development:

  • Define and communicate the people data product vision, strategy and roadmap, using market research, industry trends, and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
  • Equip PG&C and business stakeholders with analytics to empower decision-makers to act swiftly and effectively.
  • Assist People specialist teams with reporting solutions to monitor operations (including process monitoring and compliance), identify improvements, analyse trends, and ensure alignment with functional goals.
  • Drive the development team to ensure timely delivery of product features and enhancements on People Data Service platform or advise stakeholders towards alternative solutions.
  • Ensure appropriate input and support for wider product development and transformation programmes, addressing data and reporting requirements to achieve desired outcomes.

Data Strategy, Governance & Architecture:

  • Partner with PGC COO, Enterprise Architecture, Technology, and Data Analytics & Operations (DAO), to craft and implement HSBC's forward-looking people data strategy.
  • Collaborate with DAO to oversee and manage people data risk and quality, ensuring compliance with HSBC's data standards and policies, including access review and approval.
  • Work alongside Technology to maintain, develop, deploy and enhance products and tools that support people data storage and provision for the function and Bank.

Service Delivery and Optimisation:

  • Develop a scalable service model that offers agility, ensuring the right people focus on the right tasks in alignment with function and enterprise priorities.
  • Provide comprehensive support for people data and reporting services to end users, including guidance, query resolution, training, FAQs, and case management.
  • Utilise technology and self-service options to streamline processes and enhance efficiency through automation.
  • Minimise hand-offs between teams to enable quicker, data-driven actions, thereby improving engagement and outcomes.
  • Ensure uniformity and standardisation in products and tools to guarantee the use of consistent, accurate data across the board.
  • Define and support the execution of the forward approach for people related operational reporting and provision of management information.

Leadership & Teamwork: 

  • Proactively collaborates with the wider Group Infrastructure teams and senior leaders to define the vision and strategy for enterprise data management. 
  • Institute and govern data quality, providing stewardship to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Build and mentor high performing, cross border data and analytics teams, fostereing a culture of data literacy and continuous improvement.
  • What you will need to succeed in the role:

    • Leverage advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and BI tools to identify optimization opportunities and deliver actionable insights.
    • Build future looking reporting frameworks and scalable people data systems to support overall obectives for Group Infrastructure and businesses.
    • Proven capabilities in managing large, complex datasets and designing end to end reporting architectures.
    • Proven capabilities of working with people data solutions, frameworks and technologies including alignment with core people / HR platforms (e.g. SuccessFactors, ServiceNow).
    • Balances complex stakeholder needs and expectations and continually strives to manage ambiguity through collaborating with global colleagues and shares this global perspective to build effective teams who in turn develop future talent.
    • Support the achievement of finance and resource planning.
