Role Overview

As Head of Campus Development & Facilities Management

, you will lead the
planning, design, construction and day to day operational management

of facilities in the campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for  planning, design, and execution of campus development  including academic blocks, hostels, faculty housing, roads, utilities, MEP systems, and landscape infrastructure.
  • Responsible for tendering, contract finalization and execution of the projects in coordination with consultants, contractors and vendors.
  • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs, ensuring uptime, safety, and operational excellence across all facilities.
  • Establish and implement facility policies, SOPs, and vendor performance metrics to maintain best-in-class service standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, leadership teams, consultants, and vendors, fostering trust and effective collaboration in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Develop and mentor an internal team of facility and project management professionals to ensure continuity, ownership, and long-term excellence in operations.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proven expertise in end-to-end project and facility management, covering initiation, design management, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, and construction.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and Excel; familiarity with Zoho Projects or equivalent software preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of UN SDG goals so as to make the SIU a sustainable campus
  • Ability to lead, guide, and mentor team members

Preferred Profile

  • Graduate in Civil Engineering with years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, campus development, or institutional facilities.
  • Specialization in Construction Management would be an added advantage.
  • Passion for Construction Project Management and interest in nurturing the team through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
