- Analyze market trends: Research and analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities.
- Lead and mentor: Guide and mentor junior sales staff, answer technical questions, and help improve their processes.
- Report and forecast: Prepare sales reports, track performance, and create forecasts for future sales and business growth.
Qualifications and skills
- Education: A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is often preferred.
- Experience: Proven sales experience, with previous management or leadership experience being a plus.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is essential.
- Soft skills: Strong negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are critical. Excellent leadership, organizational, and customer service skills are also required.
- Work style: The ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment is important. A willingness to travel is often necessary.
