QS (Quantity Surveyor) Engineer manages the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, from initial cost estimation to final payment. Key responsibilities include preparing budgets, bills of quantities, and tender documents, monitoring costs, and ensuring compliance with contracts and regulations. They also negotiate with contractors, manage subcontractors, and handle payments and claims.

Key responsibilities

· Cost management: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost forecasts for projects.

· Contract administration: Develop and manage contracts, including tender packages and BOQ

· Financial tracking: Monitor project costs, process invoices, and ensure projects stay within budget.

· Negotiation: Negotiate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to secure favorable prices.

· Risk management: Identify commercial risks, perform risk analysis, and advise on claims and disputes.

· Procurement: Oversee material sourcing and resource planning.

· Compliance: Ensure projects comply with legal, quality, and safety standards.

· Reporting: Provide regular financial reports and progress updates to management.

· Site visits: Conduct site visits to monitor progress, gather information, and assess work completed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Successful QS Engineers typically possess a combination of technical and soft skills:

· Education: A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is typically required.

· Technical Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills, proficiency in cost estimation and project management software (e.g., MS Excel, AutoCAD, Primavera, CostX), and knowledge of construction methods and materials.

· Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are crucial for liaising with diverse stakeholders, from clients and architects to site managers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹40,000.00 per month
